Blair Thomas
Blair Thomas is an internationally regarded puppeteer, director, designer, curator, and teaching artist active in Chicago since 1985. “Chicago’s unofficial puppeteer general” (TimeOut), Thomas is Artistic Director and Founder of the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival, the founder of the Volkenburg Puppetry Symposium, and the creator and co-director of the Chicago Puppet Studio. His numerous awards include the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from the Ministry of French Culture, two UNIMA-USA Citations of Excellence, two Illinois Arts Council Fellowship Awards, and numerous Jeff Awards and nominations.
